Welcome to this month’s All The Elements Newsletter, thanks for reading!
I don’t know about you, but I’m really quite excited for Spring. I love all of the bright colours as the leaves start to bud from the trees and the flowers begin to sprout from the ground…
This winter, I spent a large proportion of my time at All The Elements working with lots of different people in the community, helping to share your stories and incredible achievements in the form of spotlight articles and social media posts. This has instilled a real sense of pride in me for the work that I do, the people in this community and the All The Elements Team. I am grateful to be motivated by my work and am excited for what Spring will bring for everyone. Each month we are hoping to spotlight at least 2 of our community members and if you would like to be featured, please do email us at hello@alltheelements.co - I would love to hear from you!
This month’s newsletter features 2 new Community Spotlights, 2 new episodes of our new series ATE Reads, some incredible new resources, our 2025 (online) socials dates and more! So grab yourself a cup of tea, sit down and enjoy 😀

Listen to Our Latest ATE Reads Episodes
We are so excited to share two more episodes of our new project ATE Reads.
In Episode 2 we asked beekeeper Rachel Sampara to give us the lowdown on beekeeping, how she got started and how she’s helping others to overcome the barriers to this traditional craft.
In Episode 3 we spoke to Mountain Leader and outdoor instructor Harriet MacMillan about creating gender inclusive outdoor spaces and tips from how she runs her runs outdoor sessions…
These audio recordings have been made possible with support from co-operative tour operator HF Holidays, who have been providing walking and activity holidays since 1913. Find out more at HF Holidays here.
Community Spotlights
We have lots of Community Spotlight articles available to read on our website. Here are 2 that we recently published:
Sahir Permall’s Reverse Migration
In Spring 2024, Sahir Permall embarked on a solo bikepacking trip from Glasgow to Istanbul; the first leg of her journey cycling from her home in Glasgow to the village in Pakistan where her grandfather emigrated from to the UK. We caught up with Sahir to learn more about what it was like to cycle across the continent of Europe and how this has altered her own sense of belonging.

Exploring Edges With Bicycle Adventure Club & Ekho Collective

Exploring The Edges, run in the summer of 2024, invited people to explore the edges at Hawbush Gardens, a Permaculture community project in Brierley Hill, stourbridge.
The goal for the project was to create an open forum, providing collaborative, safe and inclusive spaces for folks to come together, have open and honest conversations, explorations, and share experiences around physical and figurative edges.
We caught up with Bicycle Adventure Club founder Sarah to find out a little more about the project!
If you have a milestone coming up or a story you’d like to share, and you’d like to be spotlighted in the future, drop us a line on hello@alltheelements.co with the subject ‘Newsletter Spotlight’.
